- Can I translate content into a different language?
- Yes. Podcasty can take content in any language and generate a podcast in any other language. For example, you can turn a Greek news article into a Chinese podcast episode.
- What's the difference between a show and an episode?
- In Podcasty, you create podcast "shows" — each show has its own episodes and its own RSS feed. You can export any show's feed to Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or any podcast player, and new episodes you add automatically appear there.
- Who is Podcasty for?
- Podcasty is for anyone who wants to listen instead of read — commuters turning articles into podcasts, students converting study materials, language learners translating content into their target language, and anyone who wants to catch up on the web hands-free.
- How do I create a podcast?
- Navigate to "My Podcasts," tap the "+" button, add a URL or some text, pick a podcast name, and choose the language. Tap "Make a Podcast" and you're done. Add more episodes anytime from the Podcast Details screen.
- What sources can I make podcasts from?
- Podcasty works with web articles, Google Docs, PDFs, and YouTube videos. Just paste the URL and Podcasty turns it into a podcast episode.
- Can I use paywalled articles?
- Gift articles generally work. Otherwise it depends on the publication — some will work, some won't. Give it a try and let us know at contact@podcasty.co.
- How do I share a URL with Podcasty?
- The easiest way is the "Convert to Podcast" share sheet. In any app or browser, tap the share button, select "Convert to Podcast," choose your podcast series and language, and tap "Make a Podcast!"
- Can I listen in Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or other apps?
- Yes. Tap on your podcast, hit "Subscribe," and choose your podcast app — or copy the feed URL and paste it into any podcast player. New episodes you create in Podcasty automatically show up.
- Can I export to Spotify?
- Unfortunately not. Spotify doesn't allow direct podcast imports. To share your podcast on Spotify, you'd need to go through their Spotify Creators platform.
